UNA-USA San Diego: International Women's Day

The Women Equity Council of the UNA-USA San Diego celebrates this vital occasion by hosting a roundtable to explore the motivation of women having chosen professions in fields traditionally dominated by men, including law, journalism, finance, and science.

With "It's All & More" we seek to highlight women that pursue and subsequently found their dream job. Moreover, though juggling societal expectations on one hand and a professional career on the other hand, these women are able to enjoy their personal and professional successes. Through these dialogues, the Women's Equity Council (WEC) sets out to understand the many ways to overcome gender adversity in professions, the importance of networking opportunities and the promotion of women into decision-making positions.

In the United States, 14.5 percent of households struggle to put food on the table. More than one in four American children are at risk of hunger.
