Besides our program, we will continue our annual meeting business with accepting our budget, electing our leaders, and hear officer, committee and chapter reports. We may have a surprise speaker. A fine lunch will be served for just $25 and car pooling is recommended, as parking is limited. Saturday, May 11- Guest Speaker will be Jerome Sauvage, Deputy Director UNDP. Location is in uptown Whittier (see directions below) 11:30 am - 2:30 pm Jérome served UNDP as a Young Professional in Vietnam from 1983-85, when the country embarked on its successful economic reform program. Subsequent UNDP postings took him and his family to Madagascar, Cambodia, India, and Pakistan, and twice to UNDP Headquarters in New York. He served most recently as UN Resident Coordinator in Pyongyang from 2009-2013. “I am delighted to return to the United States, which has been a critical development partner for many years, and I look forward to learning more about US development goals and priorities,” he said. “I am pleased to be able to share my experiences and observations from working in development over many years of transformative change.” Seating is limited.
